in Winter Park, FLabout Infant Swimming Resource:
Drowning ranks as the leading cause of accidental death in Florida for infants and young children. But drowning is a preventable tragedy, and Infant Swimming Resource teachers provide young children with the survival swimming skills that can be used to survive drowning situations.
Typical lessons are one-on-one with the instructor and each lesson is individualized for a child's needs and abilities.
Because consistency and repetition are important for infants and young children, each ISR student attends lessons five times per week for approximately ten minutes per lesson. Children are taught survival swimming, including how to roll over and float on their backs while fully clothed.
The site provides a list of all certified instructors, searchable by zip code.
