The museum is now located on the city's waterfront, in a landmark building designed by Diller Scofidio + Renfro. Works include a permanent collection of 21st-century art featuring sculpture, painting, video, photography, and drawing, as well as rotating exhibitions throughout the year.

Membership: A Family membership, at $95, offers free admission to exhibitions, invitations to exhibition openings, subscription to the ICA newsletter, notices and discounts for programs, invitations to special events and activities, 10% discount at the ICA Bookstore, two membership cards, free admission for two adults and children under eighteen, opening invitations for two, and is 100% tax-deductible.

Admission is free on Thursdays after 5pm, and families (adults accompanied by children) are admitted free on the last Saturday of each month.
