about International Fountain:

Refurbished in 1995 and surrounded by a lawn, planters, shade trees, and climbable sculpture, the International Fountain has become a focal point of the Seattle Center grounds.

The fountain's large bowl slopes with varying degrees of steepness toward a shiny silver dome that shoots plumes of water high in the air. Music pulses through speakers set into the lip of the bowl, where spectators sit and watch the action below. During the summer, the bowl simply crawls with squealing kids - and the occasional grownup - who run through the spray with delight.

Free Wi-Fi access is available by the fountain and at several other locations on the Seattle Center grounds.

tips:

Have the kids wear shoes with non-slip soles if they're going in the water - the fountain sides can get slippery.

getting there:

The fountain lies roughly at the center of the park, closest to Mercer Street, and just west of the Seattle Children's Museum.
