The International Institute of Martial Arts (IIMA) trains students, beginning at age three, in over eight styles of martial arts. The San Marcos center is one of the largest facilities of its kind in the nation. Additional facilities are located in Escondido and Vista, with a new center opening soon in Carlsbad. All IIMA classes are taught by World Champion and Hall of Fame instructors, credentialed teachers, and affiliates of the Escondido Police Department.

IIMA runs an after school program called KidFit USA. Courses are offered in Escondido, San Marcos, Vista and Encinitas. During the summer months, IIMA offers a camp for kids ages five and older. In addition to martial arts practice sessions, the camp include visits to other athletic and fun centers.
