I joined a "Great Beginnings" class in Arlington as a new mom, and for me, it was a great experience. It sounds like a previous reviewer encountered a pretty negative group, which is too bad. A lot of the experience depends on the vibe of your group, and mine was really great. It was a mix of people, moms who would eventually go back to work (like me), moms who planned on staying home, moms who were grad students, etc. It definitely wasn't a group of Desperate Housewives or anything. Our discussions were meaningful and thoughtful and immensely helpful since we were all in the same boat. I'd recommend this class to any new first-time mom who feels like they could use some support. It also is great in that it gets you out of the house and socializing. I took another class a few months later and was not as impressed with the content and felt it was just a play date that I was paying for. The "Great Beginnings" class is really what I'd recommend.

Very good for baby care items and offering information along with it. Helpful teaching me to use a baby carrier and a personal and private nursing bra fitting. They have everything for that first year with baby. I went to the Brookline location.
