Jackson Playground

This large, sunny park takes up an entire block and has a ball field, a tennis courts, basketball court, sand play area, picnic tables, and a small recreation center. Newly planted trees around the edges help soften its somewhat stark, but not unpleasant appearance. The playground is adorable with pitched roofs on its brand new state-of-the-art equipment, and the little picnic tables are clean and usable. Tiny Tots Kids Gym is offered year round for children 1-to-5 years old, Wed. through Sat, 10:30am-12n. (Saturday only, during the summertime). Art and Craft is offered every Tuesday from 4pm-5pm. The free program is open to anyone old enough to use a paint brush (1-8), and offers different projects each week. Call for other programs or come by the park to pick up a schedule.
