Janie and Jack is a "boutique-style" chain, meaning the Legacy Village store is likely to be the only one to open in the Greater Cleveland area; you can expect to see limited quantities of each style; and new lines are introduced every four to six weeks.
The only downside to this place is that it carries kids' sizes up to Toddler 5; after that you'll have to find a new place to shop.
Moms of boys love Janie & Jack as it is one of those rare stores where boys and girls are represented equally in styles and assortments.
Prices are just slightly higher than better department stores (toddler short sleeved shirts start at about $20), and most parents would agree that Janie and Jack quality warrants the extra money. Handmade sweaters, girls dresses with lots of smocking, and very detailed "extras" on each item make them long-wearing, special additions to your kids' closets.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and entirely understanding of moms who shop with their (not-always-willing) offspring in tow. Expect them to make a fuss over your kids, even when your kids are doing the fussing.
