about Jekyll and Hyde Club:

From the skeleton guarding the entrance to the animatronic effects, Jekyll and Hyde was designed to send chills up the spine, and it usually succeeds.

The experience starts when you enter the front door - you'll find yourself in a small, enclosed, DARK area and an animatronic head starts talking. If your child wants to leave, this is the time to go. It's a little brighter in the restaurant, but not much, and scary things and sights abound. If, on the other hand, your child shrieks with delight, by all means, proceed.

Still, even the bravest children might find it alarming when their waiter morphs into a mad scientist and starts chasing the other wait staff (all aspiring actors honing their craft while you eat). You might want to warn them in advance that it's a show and not real. The food is mediocre and really, in this place, beside the point.

Birthday parties can be held in the restaurant - partiers are serenaded by staff, and the animatronic elements also helpfully identify birthday celebrants with shout outs. Book a date in advance.

Bathrooms are far away from the tables, downstairs. Children should be accompanied.

tips:

Come here for sodas and a snack/appetizer in the late afternoon, and plan to eat a meal somewhere else. A similar experience (though less scary) is available at the Jekyll and Hyde Pub in the Village.
