Like the uptown
Jekyll and Hyde Club (formerly affiliated, but now a separate entity), this Greenwich Village "eatery" (we use the term loosely, because the food is SO not the point) makes every effort to entertain the horror fan/intrepid explorer.
And, between screams, the kids might actually eat the Create-Your-Own-Monster burgers, Frankenstein's Favorite (topped with cheese, mushrooms, onions and bacon), or The Mummy (sirloin bandaged in your choice of cheese).
The
Kids' Menu (including soft drink) offers plain pizza, chicken fingers, grilled cheese, PB&J, or penne pasta with sauce or butter. An ice cream sundae is an additional $1.75. Fries are extra, too (potato chips are served by default).
The food, as might be expected, is not very good and often arrives cold; the continuous show is funny and not too scary. The dining area is small, making service spotty. The animatronic wall devices are a bit loud, but well done.
Booster seats, but not highchairs, are available.
