about John F Kennedy (JFK) Presidential Library & Museum:

Situated on a ten-acre park overlooking Boston Harbor, the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum is the official memorial to our nation's 35th President, John F. Kennedy. Visitors can step back into the recreated world of the early 1960s and experience first hand the life and legacy of John F. Kennedy and his 1000 days in office.

Visitors begin their tour with a 17-minute film. The film offers a brief family history, overview of JFK's childhood, his election to the Senate, marriage to Jackie and other milestones. Only events occurring before the 1960 campaign are chronicled. The small movie theater serves as the entrance into the first of 21 exhibits, which takes up where the film left off.

The museum's many exhibits include a recreation of JFK's Oval office. It gives visitors a feel for his presidential election bid and is complete with campaign posters, banners, buttons and more. Monitors placed throughout provide snippets of important video footage relating to a particular exhibit. Robert and Jackie Kennedy also figure prominently in the museum exhibits.

Special events include author lectures, book signings, children's programs, workshops, and screenings of historical films.

Closed Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years Day.
