This wonderful place, in business for over 70 years and with atmosphere to spare, is a NY classic. The thin-crust pizza is made to order (no slices) in a very hot brick oven. There are many possible combinations of toppings, and it's GOOD. Calzones, pastas, salads, meatballs, and more are also on the menu.
John's has high chairs and booster seats. You can get a pizza to go (again, no slices), but the restaurant doesn't deliver.
tips:
No slices, but you can have different toppings on each 1/4 of the pie.
getting there:
Cross streets are Jones and Morton. By subway: 1 to Christopher Street/Sheridan Square; A,B,C,D,E,F to West 4th Street.

When God said "Let there be Pizza", he let it happen at Johns! Coal-fired oven, fresh Buffalo mozzerella, home-made sausage, homemade sauce, what are you kidding me? It is from the Lord, Himself! But get there early, the line can wrap around the block pretty quickly. Once inside enjoy the stars who graced the place with their pics, and I'm talking stars. Planet Hollywood has NOTHING on Johns!
