This Bellevue Square boutique carries a small but charming selection of European children's clothes. Colors are muted, and the clothing design is leans more towards tradition and less toward Gap-sleek. These are kids' clothes for parents who want their kids to look stylish but not hip; these aren't adult fashions shrunk down to baby size.

Many designs have sweet finishing touches, like the soft microfleece tops with flaps on the front that children can lift to uncover little pictures. For winter, look for coordinating fleece separates for infants, corduroy jumpers for girls, and padded cotton pants for boys.

Prices are moderate, and the service is very agreeable. Not an eyebrow was raised at an exhausted toddler who begged for a balloon (and was instantly offered one), or the Ritz cracker that fell out of our checkbook when we pulled it out to pay for one of the irresistible microfleece shirts.
