About Jordan River Parkway
The Jordan River Parkway is a multi-use trail following, and sometimes crossing, the Jordan River from 7800 South in West Jordan to Highway 201 in West Valley City, with city parks and golf courses strung like beads along it. Most sections are complete between 2100 North and 7800 South. Plans have been made to join all the sections, creating a trail from Davis County to Utah County. Visit the website to view the draft of the Jordan River Trail Master Plan, which contains detailed trail information.
A section of the Jordan River Trail runs through Gardner Village, Murray Parkway Golf Course, Walden Park, Germania Park, Arrowhead Park, James Madison Park, Redwood Nature Area, and Redwood Trailhead Park.
The trail is great for walking, running, biking, and blading, and can be used to get from one part of the city to another without having to worry too much about car traffic. Picnic tables, restrooms, park benches, and canoe marinas can be found all along the parkway. Many stops serve as great areas for birdwatching. The trail can get quite crowded during the after school hours, so it's a good idea to try to visit earlier in the day if possible.

Tips
If biking the northern part of the Jordan River Parkway, bring spare tubes; there is an invasive plant found on that part of the parkway that wreaks havoc on bike tires.

- Great way to spend an afternoon in the city, but feel like you are away from the city. Variety of parks give kids plenty of places to play.
