about Joseph E. Coleman Northwest Regional Library:

The Joseph E. Coleman Branch is one of the three regional libraries in the Free Library of Philadelphia system, so its children's collection is a bit larger than in the neighborhood library branches. The castle-themed children's section has a storytime pit with a large wooden dragon to watch over the young readers. Occasionally the branch offers Evening Family Storytimes. Contact the library for details.

The library offers a wide selection of mixed media, as well as the largest African American collection in the Northwest Region.

All Free Library of Philadelphia branches offer a LEAP After School Program, which provides homework assistance, computer literacy, library skills, and enrichment activities for school-age children and teens (grades one through 12). Call the branch for details. Joseph E. Coleman has six computers for school-age children, and like every branch, there are also two preschool computers with educational games and activities.
