My daughters have been taking classes at JAG for about two years now, and they both love it. One thing I like so much about JAG is that they have classes and programs that meet the needs of almost any child. One of my daughters is now on track to become a competitive gymnast, while the other shows less talent (but great enthusiasm!). JAG has coaches appropriate for both types of gymnasts, and JAG values our children equally.

The facilities are first-rate, and although the gym can get busy at times, there is always equipment available for each class. We also hosted my daughter's fourth birthday party there, and it was a huge success. The coaches were great with the kids and very helpful with set-up and clean-up.

By the way, I disagree wholeheartedly with the reviewer who said that her young child was not treated well by the staff. I have witnessed only great enthusiasm and professionalism among all of the coaches, including the younger members of the staff (none of whom, I believe, are teenagers).

In sum, I cannot recommend JAG highly enough. We are thrilled to have a facility of its caliber in our community.

I forgot to rate my review last time! Five stars for sure! Wanted to add that my daughter continues to blossom and have fun at JAG. She's in training for her first exhibition, where she and her teammates will learn what it's like to be in a meet if they move up to competition level. Lately I have noticed that they seem to have sufficient number of coaches to pay attention to the younger set, and that they have expanded their number of classes for the kids with higher skills. It's very cute; they all wear the same leos based on their squad during practice. And here's something cool: we were watching Dancing with the Stars the other night, and Shawn Johnston was at JAG showing her dancing partner some gymnastics moves. It's such a bright, pleasant environment so there was no surprise there.

My 4 yo daughter has been attending JAG off and on since she was a wee one, about 18 mos. She has adored every one of her coaches, has always been treated very well, and is improving upon her skills. I have noticed that when she's attended on Saturdays, coaches don't have as much time to focus on the smaller kids' individual development with so many running around. Nevertheless, I don't know if that's the case with all the classes, and they are unfailing sweet and loving and inclusive. One time only my daughter signed up for a particular mid-week class. Anne kept it going without charging me as though she was getting private lessons, or forcing me to add her to the same class at a different time with more kids. I've noticed that the coaches for the older girls' team make sure the girls are having fun in the midst of working hard. It's a happy, pleasant atmosphere for kids, regardless of skill level. I've sat by a few parents who've said that before JAG, their children were sedentary, but now coming there is their favorite thing to do and they're active and happy. My energetic kid is into lots of activities, but JAG is right up there at the top of her list.

We tried a class and I was less than impressed. My friend referred me, but I will be doing my own research on schools before 'following the heard'. My daughter did not learn anything and was not formally invited by her teacher as a new student. Its got the bells and whistles but the staff were teenagers and not very professional. I cant say I would recommend this place for young children as they dont treat them as important.

We have been extremely impressed with the physical plant, the teachers and their encouraging, positive attitude, the attention to parents and most of all, Anne and her staff - in the short time Josephson's has been open. We feel very lucky to have started with them from the beginning; we know we'll say, "we knew it when" - this place is going to take off. Come and take a trial class. They are very accomodating to "trying out". There are tons of levels from "just for fun and fitness" to those interested in gymnastics professionally - and many classes to choose from.
