about Joslyn Art Museum:

The Joslyn Art Museum features a collection of work from antiquity to the present, with an emphasis on 19th- and 20th-century European and American art. Highlights include works by Lorenzo di Credi, El Greco, Edgar Degas, Claude Monet, Albert Bierstadt, and Thomas Hart Benton.

The museum also hosts kids' art activities, classes, and guided tours. Live music events include Jazz on the Green and First Friday Jams. The museum also has cafe, open for lunch only.

The entire museum is accessible to the disabled. Sign language interpreters are available with three weeks advance notice.

The Scott EdTech Gallery, on the lower level, is a learning center for Museum visitors, features a wide range of materials about art and artists, including computer programs and games for all ages, a daily screening of videos related to Joslyn's current exhibitions, and a comfortable reading area for both children and adults.

getting there:

Free parking is available in the Parking Garden northeast of the Museum. Metered parking is available on surrounding streets. The northeast Parking Garden is accessible via the Dodge Street entrance drive to the south, or off of Davenport Street to the north. Visitors may enter the Museum through the Memorial Building entrance or the atrium entrance of the Scott Pavilion, both located on the east side. Disabled visitors should use the atrium entrance. Wheelchairs are available on a first come, first served basis at no additional charge.
