I reserved a bouncer for my son's preschool well in advance, via phone since I wanted to be sure of a number of details before reserving. One week prior, I received a confirmation email. Luckily, I scrolled down and read the fine print where it states that they will not deliver to any address with more than 12 steps. Hello, this is San Francisco! When I called to ask about it (it had already been advertised to all the kids, and the last thing I wanted was a gaggle of preschoolers wondering where the jumpy house was), they asked if there was another way in. Um, not unless you want to go THROUGH the hill. They were totally unwilling to work with me to find a solution. The only positive aspect was that I hadn't placed a deposit, so I wasn't out any money.

I rented a jumper/waterslide combo for my 2 year old daughters birthday party. I received a confirmation call 2 days prior to the event - I thought everything was o.k. until they arrived at my house with a batman jumper only (our theme was tinkerbell - since I have a GIRL) - No waterslide (which I paid a premium for). The driver I must say - felt terrible - he said it was the third "wrong" delivery of the morning. I called and spoke to a manager at their office - she told me they didn't have the one I reserved (news to me) but said she would call me back in 5-10 minutes to see if she could find something else. I pleaded with her to find something. Needless to say - I never heard from her so I called their office after 30 minutes and was put on indefinate "hold". After the 3rd time of my calling back and being put on hold - they decided to answer and hang up. They must have caller I.D. - so I used my husbands cell phone and actually got a live person - who informed me that "there's nothing that they could do" I asked to speak to the manager I originally spoke to (thinking she actually was trying to help me) and was told that she had no information for me. I begged to talked to her and they said "she knows you're on the phone but is too busy to talk to you" I asked - "is she still looking for a jumper for me?" Was told "NO" and she won't be calling you back - things like this happen - we're busy - please don't call back" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I asked to speak to the owner and was told he wouldn't talk to me either. Never in my life have I dealt with such rude unprofessional people. Fortunately, I called another company completely panic striken - and they were amazing. They arrived at my house in less than 30 minutes with quality, clean equipment. The owner himself delivered and set up the jumper & slide - true professional - My little girl looked at him like he was Santa Claus - He saved the day. I'm filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.

I was surprised to see all the negative comments here. We rented the 3 in 1 Finding Nemo jumper and my kids loved it. They must have gone down the slide a zillion times. The drivers showed up on time when delivering and when picking up. They didn't "wow" me or anything, but I got exactly what I expected and at a reasonable price. It was worth every penny for the amount of fun the kids had.

I Called about four months to this company to reserve a Moon Walk Pirates of the Caribbean, and on her Birthday the driver said that they did not have any in the store, so they picked out one for me. I was so very upset that I called the company and ask why did you not call me about this miss up, they could care less all they said was call Monday and speak to a complan manager.

What a HUGE mistake I made by calling on Jump for Fun. They couldnt find the driver, was over 2 hours late. The driver was extremely rude and could really care less about his job. Seemed like he was actually on drugs (which made my husband EXTREMELY upset, seeing as the driver was setting up a toy for children!!!!!) When I called to complain, the company offered very little to rectify the situation. This company is BAD BUSINESS!!!! Will be reporting to Better Business Bureau

...only did they show up 2 hours late for delivery, the delivery person showed up early to pick up the jumper. I told him he had to wait since I paid for a certain number of hours and it wasn't my fault he was late in delivering it in the first place.

Thank you so much. This bit of information saved me one HUGE headache! Imagine 100 kids and no Bounce House as promised. I was turned off by the looong company introduction and the description of their products. I just wanted to talk to a real person. Everything sounded great. The L.A. County Dept. of Parks and Recreation gave them the thumbs up. I wonder if they know that the company charges an insurance fee in addition to what is covered by the county?

Is there a minus six stars, for less then unimpressive, or "one of the very WORST family places in town"? I have been tearing my hair out with the absolutely rude, unprofessional service of this company. BEWARE: THEIR PRICES ARE NOT FULLY DISCOLSED ON THEIR WEBSITE. The website quoted $200 for a jump castle, but when I told them on the phone it was to be delivered to a park, then it costs over $100 more (for no explained reason, it's just the way the "owner" wants it). Plus, it's $5 delivery and an additional $5 drop off, and $49 for insurance - which they told me they pay to the park (Jump For Fun already has this in existence and you should not have to pay for this). The park does does not accept money from jump castle people. So they are a) lying and b) ripping you off an additional $49. This company will not accept any information by email or mail, they only accept by FAX (they told me to go to a SAVON to fax the park permit and utility bill). Oh, what utility bill, you may ask? They need PROOF that you live where you say you live. A copy of a drivers license, or passport will not do, since you see, the address on your license doen't need to current (!). You need to FAX them, not send by mail, or email, since the "owner will ONLY ACCEPT FAXES" a copy of a UTILITY BILL, or bank statement, since you see, that proves that you still live there, and no one moves after a billing statement is issued apparently. They told me I could black out the information I didn't want them to see, so the bill has the billers address and my address on it, only. I'm sure most of you intellegent people are probably doing your bills on line by now, and use fax by email, and a paper copy of your bill is not readily available. But they don't understand this, and are COMPLETELY INFLEXIBLE and require this piece of paper. I ended up succumbing and fax them their required papers at a real fax machine, and have confirmation it went through, but apparently it is lost in their office and no one can find it. The reason, by the way, that you need to give them your current address is so that they can track you down in case the jump castle is stolen, and will make you pay for it. In the meantime, if you have a party that's only 2 hours, they "require" an 8 hour delivery window (inflexible on this subject as well, or else you need to pay extra to have them come within 2 hours of your party time), meaning you need to have someone watch this jump castle for 6 additional hours because for some reason they are not able to coordinate drop off and pick up times around the time of your party. I spoke with several "supervisors" one of which told me she spoke to the elusive owner and reiterated his firm and inflexible rules, and the other who told me she didn't reallllllly speak to the owner, since the owner is not "around". Sounds sketchy to me, and I hope someone SUES them and puts them out of business soon.

How many Birthday parties has the owners of this company had and paid for a bounce house PLUS a slide and NEITHER showed up !!!!! Welcome to our world they were supposed to show up between 9am and 11am at 10:30 we started making phone calls. After waiting on hold for 15-20 minutes we got "Sorry our driver has no cell phone and we do not know when the bounce house will be there. Keep in mind they were PREPAID. Party started at 12:30pm STILL no bounce house after numerous phone calls and long waits on hold the bounce house showed up 10minutes after the party ended. The only resolution the MANAGER had was that they would leave it at a discounted price "DISCOUNTED PRICE" after the party "WELL THATS SOME CUSTOMER SERVICE" !!!

We ordered a big water slid from jump for fun. It was delivered a little late, no big deal. When the party started the kids were all excited. After about the third kid we realized that the slide was defective. It had a large tear that let out a lot of air. This caused the kids to go down the slide impropperly and some of the kids got hurt. When I asked for a partial refund they refused. DO NOT PAY THEM CASH!!! I also wanted to let them know that there was a problem with the slide and that it should be fixed before anyone else uses it. They refused to offer any thoughts that this would happen. BUYER BEWARE....

From reading the previous reviews that are negative, really shocked me. If this is the same company I have used for over 10 years, Jump for Fun has always been very professional helpful, early to deliver and always considerate when they picked up. We have never had a problem with them. I have recommended them often because they are so good and professional. I know alot of people and the type of people I come in contact with would never put up with being second best, such as I. So Jump for Fun all I can say is thank you for the many great years of service.

I cannot convey enough my extreme disappointment in their failure to fulfill their professional obligation in providing a jumper/snow cone& cotton candy machine for my son's 5th birthday party on June 24. Not only did it create an enormous amount of additional -- and undue - - stress to the adult planners of the party; it caused undeserved heatbreak for the children. Yet the saddest part is that this would have been an opportunity to shatter some unfortunate stereotypes of what life in the Western Addition is truly like. Had they shown up for the job -- for which they did not hesitate to accept my deposit -- they would have seen nothing more than families coming together to celebrate. Celebrate in a safe, gated co-op community. Ours is a tight-knit community, one filled with many, many children (with lots of birthday parties to come); and the parents who want to create joy and lasting memories for all of them. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend your business to these parents. A simple and needless lack of communication has resulted in a negative experience, one that I hope my son and I shall soon forget.

I wish I had read these other reviews before we chose to rent from www.jumpforfun.com. We live in San Francisco. Everything seemed fine before our event - arranged several weeks in advance... confirmed the day before... arrived at the drop-off site before the recommended time of 8 a.m. The company said the driver would drop the jumper off between 8 and 10. At 10:10 he arrived, then could not get the generator to work. He tried for about 30 minutes, on the phone with different reps of the company, but clearly did not know how to actually fix the problem. Finally, he agreed to get another generator, after he made two other deliveries. During our four-hour party, I was on the phone with reps, managers, or on hold for an hour, off and on. Eventually, a manager said "the driver must have been on crack" and agreed to deliver the generator three hours late. With half-an-hour to go, the manager said we would still owe half of our bill, and we could have the jumper for half-an-hour. I cancelled the order. I was dissatisfied with the service AT EVERY LEVEL OF THE COMPANY: incompetent driver... slow phone service that regularly cuts out... miserly managers... Everyone I spoke with gave the distinct impression that nobody cared. I sincerely hope the company goes under, quickly.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I called to reserve a moonwalk for my little girl's birthday two weeks in advance. I called the day before the party to confirm delivery between 8AM - 12PM the next day. On the day of her party (with over 20 kids coming) they had not arrived by 12PM so I began calling to ask when the moonwalk would arrive. They said they would check with the driver and call me back. After 40 minutes (never received a call back) I called them again. They said they could not locate their driver and to wait. At 2:30PM (1.5 hours before the party) I called again and that is when they told me they could not deliver the moonwalk for her party!! My little girl was CRUSHED when I told her she might not have a moonwalk (we had told her guests about it and everyone was excited). They offered no other course for me and said "sorry" -- they DID NOT CARE. DO NOT TRUST OR USE THIS COMPANY. On a positve note another company (after calling 10 in the area delivered a moonwalk to use within the hour and my little girl was delighted. A happy ending afterall, but in no part because of JUMP FOR FUN.COM -- JUST SAVE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND DON'T CALL THEM.

This was our third rental from Jump For Fun in the last year, and our last. For this event the jumper started collapsing before our party was over and many of guests left shortly after we gave up and, for safety concerns, unplugged the blower. While we rented the jumper from 9 to 5, our jumper started sagging at about 12:00 and we called to complain at 1:00 p.m. half way into rental period. Our first rental was fine, but for our second rental the jumper arrived two hours late. Please don't recommend their service.

Jump for Fun advertised they would deliver their inflatable fun whereever we desired so long as the location was within 100 feet of an outlet and flat--they told us that via their their prerecorded on-hold message and over the phone personally when we placed our order and discussed our site. On party day, one man showed up to deliver a 500 lb. unit and declared it against company policy to deliver to the site requested because there was a small dip in the sidewalk on the way to the open field. He showed us a never-before-mentioned form that stated "no hills" and then got the rudest manager ever on the line to accuse us of not "caring" for her driver whom she sent alone to deliver a 500 lb. unit! I watched as they packed the unit up later -- two men came then. This manager made it clear in every way that she cared only for the bottom line--not for kids or customers or drivers. Our experience with Jump for Fun shows they deliver whereever one man can dump off a truck because that is cheapest for them; and if you're not happy with how their false advertisement affects your party, they'll be glad to add plenty of outlandish rudeness and lies to the start of your party day. We did get the unit requested, when requested. It had defects (three broken rungs on the rock climber), but it was a fun unit for 12-13 year olds, which is somewhat of a rare find. It was picked up on time. It was not, however, a pleasant transaction and though we were able to work around the site issue, I write this for those who might not be so fortunate.

We used this company last year and they were great. This year, however, they were AWFUL. First of all, they didn't show up at the prearranged time. A driver called an hour after and claimed another driver had come to our house and that we didn't answer the door. Come to find out, the delivery came when my husband was in the back yard setting up for the party, but he (the driver) never bothered to go around back, where he'd need to set up. Our garage was open and my husband's car was in the driveway, but he assumed we weren't up yet and left to make two other deliveries in a nearby city. He didn't show up until my party had been going on for 45 minutes (I had over 20 kids with NOTHING to do). Then when I called the supervisor to voice my displeasure, he threatened to withhold the jumper altogether unless I wasn't so rude. I wasn't rude--I was furious! I wanted a discount for their tardiness, which I was unequivocably refused. Now, it is an hour and a half past the time they said they'd pick up (and that's four and a half hours beyond the prearranged time) and they are still not here. I'm exhausted and want to go to bed, but I can't. I'm so furious with this company! Please save yourself the aggravation and STAY AWAY!

On the morning of my son's birthday (we were expecting 20 kids)it came to our attention that we needed some type of insurance to loacte our jumper in the park across the street from our house. This was never mentioned in any of the phone conversations while making or confirming our reservation, and we were unable to purchase the insurance that day through the company. The company never told us we'd need insurance!
