The largest kangaroo collection outside of Australia is located in the foothills of the Southern Appalachian Mountains in Dawsonville, Georgia; about one hour north of Atlanta. More than 300 kangaroos and other unique Australasian animals are exhibited in natural habitats.

Aussie Adventure Tours are offered early spring through late fall, and include an animal show and a ride on the KangaRanger through the Georgia Outback.

Attractions include The Billabong Encounter, an immersive tropical habitat with animals and plants indigenous to the Australasian continents, and the Aussie Walkabout, a 1/4 mile hiking trail that winds between fields of kangaroos and wallabies, with views of the Appalachian Mountains.

Advance ticket purchase is required due to the limited number of visitors admitted for each tour. Tours take place rain or shine, and all ticket sales are final; check with the venue about rescheduling if necessary. Children below six years of age are not admitted. Tours last one and a half hours, but expect to spend three hours there to see everything. Aussie Walkabout (Wander Down Under) is available some days for admittance without the guided tour at a reduced admission fee. Check the website for current schedules.

An Aussie themed gift shop sells light snacks and gifts and souvenirs. There is also a picnic area on site.
