I feel really bad that Gprovostjr had that experience. Our family has gone many times and we have NEVER had a bad experience. This zoo caters to all age groups and welcomes everyone with open arms. They even run the train late if ppl still want to ride. Their staff has always been more than helpful to our family. You will see us out there all year long. We have four kids and they can never get enough. We bring their friends along and at first they seem skeptical but once we get them out there they are always excited. My kids are 4, 7, 11 and 13. There is not much that a family can do to entertain that spread out of an age group but this is one place we can ALWAYS count on. We love the zoo and I hope more people will visit and make their own decisions based on their actual experiences. We are going again this weekend and we are bringing my kids' babysitter and her entire family. It's going to be great and the kids are excited to see the polar bear again and have our usual picnic lunch.

Our Family has bought the FOTZ membership for the past few years and the gold version this year. This year we decided to send our 8 and 9 year old to their day camp program. It was the worst decision we have ever made concerning the Zoo. Their staff were so incompetent today that when my 8 year old asked to use the bath room on several occasions they just kept telling him he had to wait. then while playing water games he couldn't hold it any longer and had an accident, did they call us about it? NO! Their staff left him is pissy clothes for the rest of the day, and then when my wife picked him up they tried to first make a joke about him needing spray and wash tonight, and then argued with her and got very aggressive/defensive, about it. The camp director has looked into it and stated that they are going to do nothing about it because "these two counselors are two of our best." We will never spend another dime in this zoo, and I advise everyone else to stay the hell out of it as well.
