Karen Michele has been a children's photographer since she was a child herself. Twenty years and 1200 devoted clients later, Karen still personally produces each image.

In the initial phone consultation, Karen works with parents to decide the right setting and clothing for their child, and whether color or black and white prints are preferred. To guarantee the best lighting and conditions, the studio is then prepared before the clients arrive.

The sitting fee is $250 per child, and parents are welcome to be included in some shots at no extra charge. Final selections and designs are chosen from proofs at a second appointment, and range from $1000 and up. Only custom prints are included.

Karen shoots medium format film, then personally produces each image, limiting her schedule to eight clients per month to sustain the highest level of quality.
