Kelly Ingram Park is a four acre park that served as a central staging ground for demonstrations during the American Civil Rights Movement of the 1960s.

Commemorative statues of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr and other heroes of the movement dot the landscape, and three installations by artist James Drake punctuate the circular Freedom Walk.
