about Kendall Cliffs:

When your kids are ready to climb the walls - or the ceiling - literally and/or figuratively, Kendall Cliffs' 7,000 square feet of climbing space, and 35-foot peak height, can be a smart destination. Everyone who climbs at Kendall Cliffs must have a waiver form on file; parents/legal guardians may sign for those under 18. Lessons are available for families, for climbers wanting specific techniques, or targeted, personal lessons start at about $35/hr. Family lessons teach parents to belay while children climb. Top-rope climbing instructions include belaying, commands, knot tying and equipment. Typically, family lessons are offered on Sundays; call for a current schedule. Parties are available and they are popular for birthdays, scouting/school group outings, and other events. Group events include two hours of climbing, all necessary climbing equipment, one expert instructor (for every 7 people), plus use of private balconies where non-participants may watch the activities, share birthday cake (and other snacks), and just hang out. A two-week advance reservation and deposit are required.

tips:

Take lessons as a family - you might surprise your kids and be able to keep up with them!
