about Kennedy Park:

Kennedy Park is situated just outside downtown Coconut Grove and is popular for its central location and shoreline view of Key Biscayne. In the park you'll find paved pathways (great for rollerblading or biking), a disc (frisbee) golf course, and multiple exercise stations, with balance beams, pedestals, and the like in sand, so they're a great place for kids of all ages to test their agility. You'll find many picnic tables tucked into shady areas so you can bring lunch for your family. Drinks (including great frozen lemonade) can be purchased from a truck in the parking lot. We like to have lunch at Monty's (outdoor dining adjacent to the marina in Coconut Grove) and walk the half mile to the park to play.

tips:

This is a popular park for Grove residents to walk their dogs. Most are on leash and well-behaved, but if you or your children don't like dogs, this park's not for you.

getting there:

U.S. 1 to SW 27th Avenue. Drive east towards Coconut Grove. At the last light (before the water) on SW 27th Avenue turn left. The park is on your right side.
