Kent Free Library, established and originally built with funds donated by Andrew Carnegie, looks brand new - the current library building was built around part of the original structure, and reopened in 2006.
Plenty of the amenities one expects in a new library can be found, and a giant children's room is one of our favorites. (Kids love it, too!)
A big-enough-to-play on replica of a steam engine and two passenger cars allow kids (especially boys) a little fun and a great place to sit and read - with or without their parents.
A current schedule of
children's programs can be found at the library's
website.
