The 400,000-square-foot home of the
Seattle Storm and
Thunderbirds opened in 1995, after an extensive (and expensive) rehaul of the former Seattle Center Coliseum. It has 17,000 relatively comfortable seats. Pop concerts, the circus, ice shows, and a
variety of exhibitions and conventions also touch down throughout the year. Food here, as you might expect, isn't anything special.
KeyArena is located on the northwest side of the
Seattle Center grounds, along First Avenue N between Thomas and Republican streets. The Will Call window, open at 5pm, is located at the East Box Office, which faces the
International Fountain and Center House. The East Box Office is open on event days only, from 90 minutes before tip-off until half-time for all Storm games; from 5pm weekdays and 10am weekends until the start of third period for all Thunderbirds games; and from two hours prior to event start time until 30 minutes into the event for all other events. The West Box Office, located on the West Plaza along 1st Avenue North, is open Mon-Sat 10am-6pm. The
Space Needle Kiosk on the east side of the Seattle Center campus sells tickets to all
KeyArena events from 10am to 6pm daily.
