The author - that would be Amanda - was once a developmental psychologist and is now mom to three kiddios. We like her reviews of children's books, music, and playthings for the way that she provides not only her perspective as a parent but also insight into what the kids think. Amanda puts into practice her professional background when she offers answers to common parenting issues and topical questions.

Kiddio also provides great ideas for family craftiness in all forms - the blog's subtitle is "Creative Ideas for Growing Happy Children," after all - and we find ourselves wanting to whip out our Modge Podge, sewing machine, paper scraps, scissors, and crayons after reading many of the blog entries.
