The winner of our 2008 Parents' Picks quest to find the best day camp for little kids in Houston, Kids in Action offers a variety of year-round movement education programs for newborns up through children 11 years old. The programs focus on developing motor skills, learning body awareness, songs with movement, basic tumbling and gymnastics, hand-eye coordination, sensory development, and more.

Among the four different Kindermusik programs is one for newborns, lap babies, crawlers, and early walkers. Other Kindermusik programs are designed for progressively older kids, up to age seven.

Kids in Action also offers karate, gymnastics/creative movement, and a "Playful Parenting" class for parents with their little ones, ages six months to four years old.

Birthday party packages are also available, with music and organized physical activity. Day care options include a kids' day out program for potty-trained children ages two-and-a-half to five: a full-day session is from 9:30am-2:30pm; half-day morning or afternoon sessions are also available.

Day camps are offered in summer, as well as during school vacations such as Christmas break and Spring break.
