We where there for my 1 Year old son's first hair cut, thought it sounds great about this first hair cut package. Checked it all on their webside and made a appointment, on the phone I got allready a feeling like their pretty much don't care. I was very disapointed the store ist totally rundown and dirty. The staff not very well with children and at all totally unprofessionel. The stylist who cut my son's hair where coughting and sniffing all the time, which I found icky, specially when you work with children. Everything took so long, they work in a paste of a snail. I usally went with my older son to Floyd's and their much better with children and the prices are cheaper. Don't recommend this place at all.
Make sure you have an appointment, as it can be busy at times, you should be o.k. It can be a bit of hit or miss as far as stylists go, the one we wanted was no longer there and we just took who was available but was still pretty good for the price considering the neighborhood (brentwood). Valet parking is convenient but time restricted.
I recommend this place to all parents. Out of all the kids hair salons I've been to, this place is the CLEANEST and give GREAT haircuts!! My child loves the cars they sit in during their haircut. They have all the latest DVD's and give lollipops and balloons after each cut. Best of all the staff is friendly & patient. The last time I went Heide Klum was there with her child getting a haircut. Apparently many celebrities take their kids there. By far the BEST kids hair salon in the west side!!
I take my 3 year old there all the time and they do a terrific job! She enjoys having her haircut there, and I enjoy watching the movies! It's a great environment for children and they do great haircuts!! I recommend Pat!
My 2 year old son just received the worst haircut I have ever seen in my life. I think it is a complete lack of respect to have the most incompetent staff giving haircuts to small kids. I do not recommend this place.
The haircutter kept my 15 month old son in the chair for 45 minutes and gave him the worst haircut I've ever seen: one side is higher than the other, she cut off two inches of bangs leaving him a Frankenstein line of hair. She had no personality or interest in trying to work with the baby. Definitely don't recommend this place.
I took my four year old boy to this salon the first time and had a very good experience. I had taken him to yellow balloon before and he is terrified after that experience. He had a great time at Kids kut. He sat on the jeep and watch a movie, while having his hair cut. I will recommended this place to all my friends. Great find.
I took my three-year old daughter for her first salon hair cut and she liked the experience. She had to sit in the pink jeep so even with an appointment we had to wait 15 minutes since there was only one pink jeep. Faye did an excellent job cutting and styling my daughter's hair. I was disappointed with how worn all the fun chairs were. All of them need a complete upgrading. I'm glad I had a first timer coupon (saving $4) because $20 is a lot to pay for an 8-minute hair cut.
Great atmosphere and knowledgable people. Handled my toddler with ease. This place is full of stimulation, so my child was thinking about other things and not the haircut or needing to sit still. Call ahead, as they seem to take drop-ins...not sure, but call to be safe.
When I read about Kids Kut and even when I walked into the salon, I had high expectations. My son liked the looks of the little car seats, and he enjoyed playing in the play area while we waited. But the haircut itself was TERRIBLE. Granted, my little boy is 22 months old and hates haircuts, so he didn't make it easy. But the stylist didn't seem to have any idea what to do with a screaming child, and she finally just gave up. My son came home looking ... well ... butchered. I'm going to call the Yellow Balloon tomorrow to see if they can fix it, and I won't stray again. They are no-frills, but we've never come away with a bad haircut there.
Very nice. We didn't show up early with our toddler and should have. He really wanted to check out the play area and ceiling train, but we had to start the clipping. He freaked. They handled it very well and said most toddler boys need several haircuts before they just sit there in the little cars and watch the tube.
