Kids 'N' Clay Pottery Studio has a roomy converted cottage art classroom, where children ages three and up work on wet-clay hand-building projects and also take a spin with the pottery wheel whenever they want. A high staff-to-student ratio ensures that children receive lots of individual attention.
The studio offers ongoing weekly classes for kids and teens, and a "Mudpies" program for preschoolers. Call for current class schedule.
Summer camps are extremely popular and usually booked solid by February. Call early in the year for information.
Birthday parties are typically two hours in length: approximately one hour of clay work (handbuilding and wheel) and one hour of birthday time (cake, presents, etc). All materials for the clay session are included in the price. The party-giving parent provides any food and decoration. Birthday parties can be held year-round (except for two holiday weeks when the studio is closed, in winter and spring), and are typically offered on Sundays. Call for pricing and other details.

Cross street is Hearst. From San Francisco, take the University Avenue exit off I-80. On-street and paid parking are nearby. Located 12 blocks from the North Berkeley BART station (taxis available), 2 blocks from the Berkeley AMTRAK station, and on the AC Transit bus lines.
