We love going to KidSnips....the haircuts are good, the staff friendly, prices are reasonable and my kids love it too. My toddler loves "driving a car" during his haircut and my 8 year old loves playing video games during his cut. So we are very happy campers!

Why why why did I let my little boy talk me into going back here!?!? I have never been overly pleased with the few haircuts I received from here in the past, and finally found someone at another salon who actually did my son's hair nicely - EVERY time. So why that gut mother's instinct didn't kick in when he asked to go to KidSnips is beyond me. I know...shame on me. He wanted to go there solely because he likes the free cheap toys they give out when the haircut is over. Now I know why they do that. It's a consolation prize for the haircuts from hell....the absolute worst of which we just received yesterday. All I asked for was a slight trim. I could have cut his hair better myself blindfolded with a dull scissors. I would kind of describe it as a bowl cut...but at least with a bowl cut the hair is even. There is absolutely nothing symmetrical about his hair whatsoever - nothing. Even the front is literally like a zig zag. I get so upset whenever I look at him. This hair cut is nothing less than a hack job. My son has picture day at school in 2 weeks...his first school picture ever and I am horrified as to how he will look. Two weeks certainly is not enough time to make a dent of difference in the wreck of a haircut he now sports thanks to the fine folks at KidSnips! If you've been here and received a good haircut for your child...consider yourself lucky. If you've never been here, trust me, it isn't worth the risk. Spend a little more money and go elsewhere. Ugh. Never, ever, again.

We were in there for like 10 minutes and it cost $10. It was originally $18, but she gave me a break since she barely did any cutting. They treated us well, and I don't really have anything to compare it to (first child, first haircut), but I can't believe they can charge $18 for a hair cut! We did get a cute certificate, a polorid and a lock of her hair to go. Nice touch. I didn't feel it was loud like other posts said. I went during the week and no one else was there. Maybe if you don't like lost of noise you should go during the week, if possible.

Terrible haircut. I took my son there and the music way to loud. I told the stylist what I wanted for my son and she didn't care and did what she wanted. I was so upset, looked like he took the scissors to his own hair, I will never return.

My son loved this place. The haircut is quick and the stylist listens to what the parent wants. There are lots of videos to choose from and several different kinds of cars to "ride" in. My son used to cry during haircuts, but at this place, he didn't make a peep and left smiling.

We were walking by and my kids wanted to go. They were busy and we had to wait. Kids were screaming, the store was a pig stye (hair and toys all around). The TVs were way to loud which added to the stress. After about 20 minutes it was our turn. They sprayed the kids down before they were even seated, didn't ask me what I wanted and did the cut in less than 5 minutes. I could not believe it.

We went to the KidSnips in Lincoln Park on North Clyborn. It was our first experience, and they made it totally fun. The place seems like a toy store first, hair salon second. Every chair is a car where your little one can pretend to drive, all while watching any movie of his or her choice on a little tv set directly in front of the car. Price is right, and so are the little toys in case you have to give in to an impulse purchase. We're going back to this location for the next haircut!
