Kindermusik with Dee Dee

Instructor Diane "Dee Dee" Lawton uses her lovely singing voice to lead children and parents in this fun Kindermusic music and movement program held in the Richmond district. While kids dance, crawl, shake, rattle, and roll, they also gain language skills, listening, social skills, self-esteem, and music skills. Dee Dee also uses baby signing with music for the wee ones. Dee Dee's teaching style is fun yet well-structured to encourage everyone's full participation. She retains the attention of the children, which is no easy task, and efficiently guides the class through the lessons. Words to the songs are posted so you have no excuse for not singing along. Classes meet once a week for 45 minutes and are separated into three developmental age groupings. Under 18 months:$120 for 8 weeks; 18 months to 3-1/2 years: $240 for 16 weeks; and 3-1/2 to 5 years: $240 for 15 weeks. There also is an extra $35-60 fee for at-home practice course kits that include CDs, books, or instruments. Summer Camps Dee Dee offers several five-week summer camps with such themes as "Creatures in the Ocean" or "Zoo Train."
