Nestled amongst the tall hardwoods and pines that grow alongside Symphony Lake, the
Koka Booth Ampitheatre offers a stunning spot for a concert, festival or show.
The ampitheatre features seating for 7,000, either on the lawn or on a specially designed crescent deck. The venue's performance season of
live music concerts and festivals runs April through October; it's home to the North Carolina Symphony Summerfest Series and Movies by Moonlight movie nights. The box office is open Tue-Thu from 12n to 6pm, and is open on the day of events. Tickets for many ampitheatre events are also available through
Ticketmaster.
At the end of November, Koka turns into
Tinsel Town, a winter wonderland featuring an outdoor ice skating rink popular with families. Admission ranges from $4-$8, with $2 skate rentals. Tickets available at the box office only.
Parking is free, although preferred parking is available for $10. Visitors are permitted to bring one bottle of factory-sealed water into the ampitheatre. Lawn chairs and blankets are permitted; chairs can be rented for $5 next to the guest services tent.
