This laid back dining location offers a pacific island feel that doesn't function on island time! In fact, service at the
Kona Cafe is extrememly fast, the staff is friendly, and the food is simply delicious.
Located on the second floor of Disney's Polynesian Resort, the restaurant serves
breakfast, lunch, and dinner with unusual selections and great American favorites. And don't miss the amazing chocolate sculptures on display on the way to your table. These are truly delectable works of art!
Breakfast is the busiest time for the cafe. Try the famous
Tonga Toast, a delightfully rich french toast stuffed to the edge with sweet bananas and topped with cinnamon sugar. The
Macadamia Pineapple Pancakes and Eggs Benedict are also great house specialties. Kids can choose from
Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes, french toast, or even Donald's Choice that includes one egg
"quacked" and scrambled and sweet cinnamon toast.
Lunch and dinner offer even more island inspired meals. Try the authentic
Polynesian Plate Lunch with Peanut Chicken, Teriyaki Steak, sticky rice, and macaroni salad, or the
Macadamia Mahi Mahi, for traditional Hawaiian favorites.
Vegetarian entrees are also available, including the stir-fried Pan-Asian Pasta. If your kids don't want to try anything new, chicken fingers, hot dogs, and burgers are available on the
kids menu.
Crayons and activity sheets keep kids entertained, as will the people watching opportunities at the restaurant. Since
Kona Cafe is open to the walkways and atrium of the building, you'll see plenty of families rushing past the restaurant to catch the monorail to the
Magic Kingdom, or waiting for the 'Ohana Character Breakfast.
High-chairs are available and you'll find restrooms with
changing facilities just down the corridor from the cafe.
