My husband and i went to check it out while looking for a daycare for our 2 month old baby. We were horrified -- crowds of kids, dirty toys, dirty beds, smelly air.

I was researching childcare facilities for my two small kids ages 3 and 1, and La Petite was right around the corner from our house in Layton, however when I stopped in to ask questions I was not impressed. There was no one at the front desk, the providers looked at me and saw me waiting, however I was not approached by anyone! They were not within earshot and they ignored my waves for attention. I waited for over 20 minutes! I felt so unwelcomed, and as a parent I believe first impressions are extremely important when it comes to the care of your children. You want to feel as though you and your children are welcomed into the program and you want to feel comfortable with the providers and the facility where your children are being cared for. It was a surprising disappointment for me to not even be approached, especially in a childcare facility where security should be of the utmost priority.

My 4 year old daughter attended La Petite Academy for 5 months. She, at first, was excited to begin pre-school, right away that changed. She cried constantly when talking about school. As soon as we removed our daughter and started daycare elswhere, her fear of school stopped. I do not recommend La Petite Acadamy on Alta Canyon Dr.
