The only licensed water tour provider in the Lake Mead National Recreation Area, Lake Mead Cruises offers a variety of tours on two Mississippi River-style paddlewheelers, the Desert Pricess and the Desert Princess Too. Visitors can sit indoors in a climate-controlled environment or sit outside on the decks.
All types of cruises are offered, including dinner and dance cruises and the more informal pizza cruises. As the boats glide across Lake Mead, visitors can learn more about the construction of mighty Hoover Dam and the formation of the Colorado River and Grand Canyon via taped narration. Reservations for all cruises are highly recommended.

From downtown Las Vegas, take I-15 south to Lake Mead Parkway. Take the Parkway east until Lakeshore Drive (Highway 166); turn right on Lakeshore. Lake Mead Cruises Landing is located along the southwest shore of Lake Mead; look for signs.
