A relaxing day at the lake is a hop, skip, and a jump away at Lake Pleasant Regional Park. Located just minutes north of Peoria, the lake offers a world of recreational activities for Valley families.
Park amenities include camping, boating, fishing, swimming, and wildlife viewing. The main and north entrances offer 10-lane and 4-lane boat ramps with combined paved parking for 700 vehicles with trailers. Restrooms and picnic areas are plentiful.
The Visitor Center offers a beautiful balcony view of the lake and Waddell Dam. Families can stop by the center to learn about the area's history and native wildlife, and then step outside to stroll the Visitor Center Trail, an easy, half-mile path with interconnecting loops and interpretive signage. Over four miles of pedestrian trails are available throughout the park.
Stargazing, nature walks, and other special events are held regularly at Lake Pleasant. Check our event calendar or the park's website for schedules and details.
