about Lamond-Riggs Branch Library:
The Lamond-Riggs Branch Library offers preschool programs for both preschool classes and individuals, and a summer reading program which enrolls over one hundred children up to age 14. The library uses its exhibit space for art shows, primarily displaying the work of neighborhood artists and photographers.
A child may get a library card when he or she is able to write his or her name on the library card application. Parents may check children's books out on their own cards. Books may be borrowed for up to 21 days. Children are not charged for books brought back late.

The Lamond-Riggs Branch is two blocks from the intersection of South Dakota Avenue, NE and Riggs Road, NE, past the Bertie Bachus Middle School. There are 13 spaces in the adjacent parking lot. By Bus: Take the E2 or E4 along Chillun Place, NE to Kennedy Street, NE, one block behind library. Nearest Metro Station: Take the Red line to the Fort Totten station. Leave the station by the South Dakota exit. At South Dakota Avenue, NE, turn left and walk north two blocks to the Library.
