Largo Central Park - winner of our
2009 Parents' Picks award for best local playground/park - is a 70-acre park in the heart of Largo. Home to the city's landmark clock tower, it features fabulous fountains and green, grassy play areas. It's also the location of the
Rainbow Rotary Playground, one of the Bay area's few playgrounds that is completely disabled-accessible.
Picnic tables and pavilions are plentiful, making the park a perfect picnic spot.
The
Largo Cultural Center - site of numerous cultural and community events - sits at the center of the park, offering a venue for music, dance, and theater as well as other special gatherings.
