Ledge Pool and Recreation Area features swimming, fishing, sand volleyball and picnicking - so obviously, it's a family favorite.

Admission - via a daily fee or season pass - is payable at the pool entrance inside Hinckley Reservation, west of State Road and east of Kellogg Road.

Ledge Pool is an 80- by 100-foot heated, stainless steel pool with a depth of two feet at the shallow end for non-swimmers. Pool amenities include a changing/bath house, picnic tables, grills, and concessions.

Swimming lessons taught by American Red Cross Water Safety Instructors are offered for an additional fee; call 330.239.2911 for a schedule and registration info.

Fishing is permitted along the shore of Ledge Lake. Commonly seen species include largemouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and rainbow trout.
