about Lefferts Historic House:

Lefferts Historic House is one of the few surviving Dutch Colonial farmhouses in Brooklyn. Built by a prominent 18th-century Flatbush landowner, the house was donated to the City of New York in 1918, and is operated by the Prospect Park Alliance.

The historic homestead is filled with exhibits that combine interactive tools, toys, and games with rooms furnished in the style of the early 19th century. Lefferts interprets everyday life as it was experienced by Dutch, African, and Native American children of the area.

Special annual events include the fall Harvest Festival, a Quilt Exhibit, and the Flax & Fleece Fest.

Families can host a two-hour birthday party at Lefferts for package fees starting at $250 and up. Bring up to 20 guests and step back in time - activities include 19th century games, dressing up in period costumes, toy making, and ice cream making. A $25 discount on the party fee is available for Prospect Park Alliance members.
