The Lemon Grove Branch Library offers books, books on CD and audio, videos, CDs, free access to computers, and research databases. Preschool storytime is held Thursday mornings at 10:30am. Younger kids can enjoy stories, songs, and crafts.
During Bilingual storytime, which is offered on Thursday afternoons at 3:30pm, kids are read stories and guided through in activities in two languages. Babies and their parents can join in rhymes, games, and the very simples tales during Baby storytime, held on Friday mornings at 10:30am. Kids can try out a new craft on weekdays, from 3pm-5pm at the craft table, as part of Afterschool Craft.
During Kids Book Club, held the first Wednesday of each month at 4pm, children talk about the books they like and don't like, make up stories, and enjoy a snack. Teens participating in Teen Council help select library materials, plan events, have snacks, and have fun. The council meets every other Thursday at 5pm.
The Summer Reading program is held June 18-July 31. Children can sign up to read and are rewarded with prizes, are invited to attend special programs held each Tuesday at 2:30pm. Teen programs are each Wednesday at 5pm.
