Leo Carrillo State Beach551

I took my two children (2 and 4) here for the day. After gulping down the $10 to park (ouch) it proved to be one of the best days at the beach I have ever had, ever. The north parking lot and beach area is better for playing in the sand and lounging, as the lower parking lot and beach area are kinda rocky (but cool in it's own way). My two year old was so busy and happy she missed her nap and nobody noticed! The rocks, caves, and tidepools had my 4 year old talking and busy until we finally had to climb down because the tide was coming in. We brought cheapo kites ($4 from the drugstore) and that provided hours or fun. We also walked and hiked up some of the trails that are right there, it was awesome!!! We LOVE this beach (and we aren't really beach people).
