Built by the Lions Club in the 1960s, the park site is on reclaimed bottom land just north of Clear Creek. Best noted for its community 4th of July celebration and large newly renovated playground, the park provides plenty of shaded picnic tables for a noon-time escape by downtown workers.
Children love to bring their parents to the new playground designed to provide activities for small and big kids alike; it features a huge sandbox. Kids also love to watch the kayakers on the Clear Creek Whitewater Park.
Other activities include a fishing pond, horseshoe pit, sand volleyball pit, picnic shelters, and a kayak course at Clear Creek.
