Lone Peak Skate Park is Sandy's first skate park. Children (and adults) of all ages come in droves to skateboard, practice in-line skating, and try BMX freestyle biking.
The park is designed for beginner to intermediate skill levels. Due to the high-risk nature of these activities, it is highly recommended that helmets, kneepads, elbow pads, and wrist guards be worn. Call the weather information Line [801.561.7009, then press 2, then press 1] before you go if the weather is questionable.
On Saturdays 9am-11am, the Skate Park is open only for kids ages 12 & under and their parents. Family Night is held on certain Mondays during the spring, summer, and fall from 6pm to 8pm. Families can use the park at their leisure and/or participate in the activities provided during that time. Toddler bikes are allowed during family night activities.
Public restrooms are available from April 15 to October 15. Machines selling pop and water are nearby. Phones are located inside the skate park but there are no clocks - so kids won't realize they're running late.
