Long & Scott Farms, home to Scott's Zellwood Sweet Gourmet Corn, also offers one of the best "off the beaten path" adventures in Central Florida - a themed corn maze!
Families and groups of visitors work together or compete as teams to find their way through a 6.5 acre corn field. The themed maze changes every year (previous themes included American Heroes), but consistant elements include a bridge, multiple pathways, and a "Maze Master" to help guide parents who, ahem, have no sense of direction at all! Pick up a game sheet and the farm's trademarked decoding system - the Maize-o-Vision - to see the hidden map.
The maze and accompanying market are open seasonally (usually October and November) and schools or parents' groups are welcome (advance registration is required for groups of 20 or more). Call for information on group packages.

tips:
Scared you'll be spending the night in the maze with your laughing children? Just hold up your group's flag; a Maze Master or Maze worker will help you out - but not without your kids asking if you remember the route home.
getting there:
Go north on Highway 441, passing through Apopka. Take a left at the stoplight at the intersection of Jones Avenue and Highway 441. Take a left on 448A.
