The Longue Vue House & Gardens encompasses a house museum, eight acres of historical gardens and fountains, and the hands-on, interactive Lucy C. Roussel Discovery Garden. The Discovery Garden contains herb mazes, a design garden, vegetable patches, and the ever-popular worm dig, enjoyed by children of all ages.

The National Historic Landmark offers teas, field trips, educational programs, and a museum store that offers many items with kid appeal.

Discovery Garden birthday party packages include hands-on activities throughout the half-acre children's garden and are hosted by a Longue Vue staff member. Longue Vue also offers Summer 'Scapes, weeklong day camps that allow participants ages five to 11 to garden, paint, design, build, hunt for bugs, and explore.
