About Longue Vue House & Gardens
The Longue Vue House & Gardens encompasses a house museum, eight acres of historical gardens and fountains, and the hands-on, interactive
Lucy C. Roussel Discovery Garden. The Discovery Garden contains herb mazes, a design garden, vegetable patches, and the ever-popular worm dig, enjoyed by children of all ages.
The National Historic Landmark offers teas, field trips, educational programs, and a museum store that offers many items with kid appeal.
Discovery Garden birthday party packages include hands-on activities throughout the half-acre children's garden and are hosted by a Longue Vue staff member. Another option is a traditional birthday tea in the facility's historic Whim House or Playhouse. Call 504.488.5488 ext. 339 or email info@longuevue.com for information and reservations.
Longue Vue also offers Summer 'Scapes, weeklong day camps that allow participants ages five to 11 to garden, paint, design, build, hunt for bugs, and explore. Getting There
Travel on Metairie Road towards New Orleans. Immediately after crossing Orpheum Street and the 17th Street Canal, Bamboo Road will be on the right. Continue to the middle of Bamboo Road and proceed to Longue Vue on the left.

- Longue Vue's holiday parties are fun for the whole family. We also highly recommend dropping in the Discovery Garden. The grounds are beautiful, quiet and inspirational. The staff is wonderful. The value can't be beat.
