about Longwood Gardens:

Longwood Gardens, created by industrialist Pierre S. DuPont (and sometimes referred to as the DuPont Gardens), offers 1,050 acres of gardens, woodlands, and meadows, 20 indoor gardens within four acres of heated greenhouses, 11,000 different types of plants, and spectacular fountains.

Young visitors can enjoy the amazing Indoor Children's Garden, and romp in the outdoor Bee aMazed Children's Garden. Located in the Idea Garden, the Bee aMazed Garden offers bee-themed fun and activities, including a flower-shaped fountain for gentle splashing, a Honeycomb maze, a buzzing bee trail to follow, and a Queen Bee's Throne. Storytime for children ages three to five is offered on most Mondays at 10am and 10:45am. Call or check the website for a schedule.

A Family Value Meal is served daily at the Terrace Restaurant, and reserved Breakfasts with the Easter Bunny or Santa are featured seasonally. The Gardens Shop and Greenhouse offer tempting toys, books, and garden tools for children.

Don't miss the summer Fireworks and Fountains evenings at Longwood. Parking is limited, and admission is by advance reservation only; lawn chairs and blankets are welcome.
