The Lookingglass boasts a unique stage that can be changed to allow the best possible configuration for each production - with a maximum capacity of 270 persons, 60 of whom may be seated at the balcony level. There is also a multi-purpose studio space that is used for theater presentations, special events, classes, and rehearsals.
The theatre hosts several family-friendly presentations each year.
The Lookingglass Theatre Company offers youth and teen classes in theatre, dance, music, and circus arts, as well as teen ensembles and touring performances. The Education and Community Programs offers ensemble-driven educational experiences. Age-appropriate, developmentally structured programs are designed sequentially - focusing the talents of young people on a collaborative and inventive approach to theatre.
In addition to in-house classes, Lookingglass offers a variety of community outreach programs including in-school residencies, after school programs, student workshops, professional development workshops, and matinees of our main stage shows.
Custom Birthday Parties with a performer are also available.
