The Music Center is home to four resident companies: The Los Angeles Philharmonic, Center Theatre Group, LA Opera, and the Los Angeles Master Chorale. These companies perform in the Center's four venues: the Walt Disney Concert Hall, the Ahmanson Theatre; Dorothy Chandler Pavilion; and the Mark Taper Forum. There are also outdoor theaters, plazas and gardens. Outdoor cafes are open before performances, and water dances in a giant fountain, sure to delight the kids when it's turned on!
tips:
If the fountain is on, you might want to bring an extra set of clothes for the kids.
getting there:
Beginning on July 12, 2010, access points into and out of the Music Center garage are limited due to the start of construction of the new Civic Park, located directly across the street at the County Mall.
Grand Avenue entry into the garage is available via southbound traffic only. There is no northbound access (or left turn) into the garage.
Patrons parked on upper levels are directed to exit onto southbound Grand Avenue, right turn only.
Patrons parked on lower levels are directed to exit onto southbound Hill Street, right turn only.
