THE BEST!! There is not much good about getting lice, but the Lousey Nitpickers make it no big deal. After my daughter came home from camp with Lice, Frank and Myra came and took care of our whole family in just over an hour. Frank is divine!! Funny and sweet and kind - making an ordeal a light and manageable event. He returned a few days later for a follow-up where he found that we were Lice free. Fabulous! Thank goodness for Lousey Nitpickers and Frank. They checked my daughter at her school (and me when I requested!) only to find out we had lice. Frank came to our house and after an hour we were lice free. I was prepared to spend a lot to get rid of these parasites and it was totally reasonable -- my only wish was that I had made an appointment two days earlier instead of trying to do it ourselves. I have been fighting Lice since my daughter was five. (Now she is 10). LAUSD lets kids in school with lice. I always treated her but, could never get all of the nits because her hair is so, fine and it was always a battle.
Where my daughter goes to school now they don't. I tried another company but, it was way to expensive and a rip off.
I have also tried the very toxic pill that is suppose to kill then and it didn't work.
I called Lousey Nitpickers and they were here the next day. They checked the whole family and found out that I had a light case. He had all of us treated in two hours. It was very reasonable and Frank made my daughter fill so comfortable.
I would recommend this company to everyone.

Frank was an unbelievable lifesaver. Not only did he travel from L.A. to northern Santa Barbara County, he made us relax and understand that this situation was fixable right away. The stress was awful until he arrived the day after I called. I couldn't have asked for more... except not being in that situation to begin with!

Although there are plenty of other companies offering this service, there's only one with consistent "five star" reviews -- Lousey Nitpickers. Frank has been doing this work for eight years. OMG! I couldn't believe it when I discovered my daughter had caught head lice this summer! I never thought it would be us. I panicked and got the standard toxic treatment and after 2 days, I knew I was losing an uphill battle. I called Frank, based on a referral. Once he left, I already felt a huge load off my shoulders. The first week of summer vacation I found that my daughter had lice. I was upset, grossed out and overwhelmed with the task of removing bugs and nits from my daughters hair. I now know that if we ever find out that the girls have lice we will call Lousey Nitpickers immediately.

I discovered on a Sunday morning that my girls had lice. I spent all day Sunday buying Rid, shampooing, going through hair (5+ hours for ONE KID) and doing MOUNTAINS of laundry. I have used Lousey Nitpickers twice when my child was sent home for lice but in fact didn't have them at all! I was in a tizzy shampooing and cleaning. All I have to say is that Frank and Evan are angels sent from up above!! I tried on my own to get rid of the lice my 2 daughters had for awhile and was not succesful. After treating at home several time over the past 2 weeks with no success in desperation I did an internet search and found Lousey NitPickers. From the moment I called I felt very reasured that I had made the right choice. Frank came out the same evening and treated all of us - 2 adults and a 4 year old. He was so kind and patient with our daughter that by the time he left they were best friends. Can't say enough good things about him and the great company.

I, like many parents, thought when I received the once a week head lice notice from school it could never happen to my kids..guess what? It did and it made me a CRAZY LADY. The first time my daughter had lice, I spent a torturous 2 hours combing through her hair looking for the little buggers. Plus a full day cleaning and doing laundry. It was a nightmare. My daughter was getting her hair braided at a local fair when I was told by the stylist that she may have head lice. Someone told me about Lousey Nitpickers so I called them right away. I couldn't believe it when I discovered my daughter had caught head lice this summer! Other places were rude, did not call me back or just wanted me to come to a "salon" - which is disgusting to me since why would I want my kid around other kids that have lice?? After two days of working on my 4-year-old's waist-length hair myself, I called Lousey Nitpickers for help. The company returned my call within an hour and had someone to my house three hours later. Their training director, Frank, came and he removed all the nits from her hair, and also checked me. He was fast, efficient, and extremely good natured. My daughter was able to go back to school the next day and so far has been lice-free. I hope I don't ever have to deal with head lice again in our house, but if I do I'll call this company immediately. From my initial inquiry to my once again having a lice free family, Lousey Nitpickers was first-rate in every way. I had first contacted a salon that specializes in head lice removal, but it took them a full day to get back to me, and I was then told that it would be next month before we could get an appointment. When I then called Lousey Nitpickers, they replied immediately and were out that very afternoon to service my family. The "Nitpicker" was friendly, professional, and great with kids. While I don't wish a head lice infestation on any family, if this problem arises, I definitely recommend Lousey Nitpickers.
